Continuing with the offer configuration, we can also determine the minimum number of nights that are necessary to apply the offer:
Number of nights stay: #
If this offer is applicable only to bookings with a specific stay period, enter here the number of nights.
In this section, you may choose to apply one of the following options:
- “Apply to all nights of the booking”: This means that even though the selected booking stay period does not coincide with the stay period configured for the offer, it would anyways apply for those numbers of minimum stay (6 days in our example), which would fall for the specified booking stay period.
Example: the offer ends the 18th of November and we have a booking from 16th to 22th. With this option selected the offer only applies the first 3 nights.
- If we mark the second option, “Apply only to the nights within the booking stay period” it means that if the number of nights of the booking stay period in which the offer would apply, is lower than the minimum nights specified (6 nights as in the previous example) the offer would not apply.
In this case, we can appreciate that the offer doesn’t apply because the booking days (4 days) are lower than the number of nights stays (6 days).
You can also configure the offer to be applicable if the reservation dates are made within the established period:
Apply this discount with others: #
It can combine several types of offers if they coincide in their application ranges:
It is important to highlight that is not necessary to configure all the offers with the option “Yes” when you want to combine some of them.
For example, we have two offers created, “Basic discount” and “3×2”, which we wish to apply together:
For the “Basic discount” we will select the “Yes” option in “Apply this discount with others and choose the offer “3×2”:
For the offer “3×2” we won’t select any option and we leave the predefined “No” option selected.
If we go to the Call Centre and we wish to book one room with both offers, we will see that both apply together:
In case we have three offers, “Basic discount”, “3×2” and “Early Booking”, the configuration should be the following one:
- The offer “Basic discount” should combine with “3×2” and “Early booking”.
- The offer “3×2” should combine with “Early booking” or vice versa.
Note: Bear in mind that if you wish to combine more than 2 offers together, you should request this to Juniper, who will adjust, either up to 3, 4, 5 or infinite as a maximum number of offers to apply together.
Select this discount as an alternate discount: #
Only applies one offer per room. The offers can’t be offered together.
We select that the offer “Basic discount” could be alternated with the offer “3×2”:
When we do a search on the Call Centre, we can see how the rooms are duplicated because it only applies one of the two offers per room:
It has a maximum number of rooms daily: #
The offer only applies to a maximum number of rooms per day.
Referring to the application of the offer on the price, we can find the following options:
To apply to the base price: #
The offer will apply only to the base price, without considering other prices that could apply to the initial rate of the room.
We can appreciate how the discount of 10% applies to the base price.
To apply the base rate with board and room type: #
The offer will only apply to the base price, including the board price.
For the next example, we have created a supplement of 20 on Standard Room Garden View, to see how this option applies to the offer:
In this case, we can see that the offer applies to the base price (50) and the room supplement (20). So, the total amount is 70. As the offer is of 10%, we can appreciate a discount of 7%.
Apply this supplement after applying other supplements and discounts: #
The offer will apply once all the offers and supplements from the same period have been applied.
If you select this option, you can see that the offer “Early booking” of 10% applies first on the base price and then, it applies the “Additional offer” of 5%.
