After Managing Hotels second step in line is to create Rate Code and Configure Room Categories, Meal Plan Transfer and Supplements so that Rates, Cancellation and Payment Policy and offers can be uploaded.
What do you mean by Rate Code?
Rate code simply defines the Market/Nationality for which the contract is applicable. For examples:
If we have our main contract for All Market then the Rate code for our Main contract would be ‘All Market’. Similarly, we have another contract on the UK market then the rate code for the contract would be ‘UK’
Steps:
- Click on the ‘Rates’ from the option given at the right-top corner of the screen.
- A new window will appear on the screen. Click on ‘Manage’. A drop-down list will appear. From the given drop-down list select the destination of the hotel.
- Another window will open with the list of already created hotels.
- First search for the desired hotel from the list. If the hotel is not available then click on create to create a new hotel. We will learn about it in another session.
- Now to manage the created hotel you need to move your cursor on the hotel name, you will see 3 options or the right side of the current hotel. If you want to edit the name or any info about the hotel which were provided at the time of Hotel creation, click on Edit otherwise click on Manage to go inside the hotel and manage it.
- After clicking on the Manage option this page will appear on the screen.
- The below screen will appear after creating Rate Code & Market.
- Click on the Add button to create a new market.
- This box will open to create Rate Code & Markets.
- Fill all the boxes as per contract needs, to select countries remove the tick from below box to select the countries.
- When you remove the tick all countries will show below in the box, select as per contract eligibility.
- Selected countries will show on the right side of the box and exclude shows on the left side.
- You can also select countries from the drop-down below button.
- Once you fill in all the necessary details and selected all the required countries, click on ‘OK’
