HBT Special Offers – Rules

To upload all the offers we switch to the ‘Special Offer’ tab.

The generic steps we follow to create a new offer are:

  • Add new offer
  • Put Name of Offer
  • Booking Code
  • Validity/ Stay Period of offer

For HBT clients we receive two types of offers i.e. Contractual offers and Tactical offers.

If the offer is Contractual no need to tick on the tactical box but if the offer is Tactical, then tick on the Tactical check-box.

After Add New Offer Click on the edit option to load the offer. Once we save the offer the next screen will appear, as shown below:

The next important step for creating offers is “Rules”

Rules #

The rules are selected on the basis of the offers we receive. Rules are then co-related with the Conditions we select to apply the Rule properly.

Rule 1: Days before arrival #

When we receive offers with the book before days conditions i.e. 60, 30…etc days prior to arrival, we apply this rule. Such offers are generally created under one offer but if we receive such offers with different conditions we create a separate offer.

For example: In the case of creating 3 offers under 1 offer due to all offers having the same condition such as below;

We apply conditions, and then match them with “And”. Now here we need to carefully use “AND’ and “OR”

The conditions which are co-related with this rule are:

  • Equal to
  • Greater than
  • Greater than or Equal to
  • Less than
  • Less than or Equal to
  • Not Equal to

Rule 3: Stay Period #

In offers 4 conditions are coming:

  • Includes: When departure date is also included in the offer.
  • Excludes: When departure date is not included in the offer.
  • Between: Offer has to apply in between the stay period only.
  • Strictly Between Offer has strictly applied in between the stay period only.

E.g.: The offer stay period starts from 01.11.2020 to 31.10.2021, minimum 5 nights stay required.

An offer booked from 28.10.2021, then offer is not applied as it cannot complete between the validity periods.

Rule 3: Stay Duration #

When an offer says a minimum stay of 5, 6, 7…etc nights are required for availing the offer. For example;

  • Book a minimum of 4 nights and receive a 25% discount on villa rates.
  • Book a minimum of 7 nights and receive a 30% discount on villa rates.

Rule 4: Booking Date #

This rule is used when there is a ‘book by date’ given in the offer.

E.g.: Book on or before OCTOBER 31, 2020 receive a 10% discount on your contracted rates.

OR

Book after NOVEMBER 18, 2020 receive a 20% discount on your contracted rates.

The conditions which are related to this offer are the same as of ‘Days before arrival.’

Rule 5: Holiday Type #

When there is a particular holiday type mentioned in offers.

E.g.: Generally we use Honeymoon type for Honeymoon offer & rest offer automatically assumed as Standard offer.

Rule 6: Meal Plan #

When an offer is not applied to the base meal plan.

E.g.: Contract is based on BB basis and offers states get 25% discount on all room types on HB basis.

Rule 7: Number of Pax #

This rule is applied when there is a total number of a person given in the offer.

E.g.:  Only 2 people are eligible for this offer.

OR

4 or more than 4 people are eligible for this offer whether they were adults or children.

Rule 8: Number of Adults #

When we fix the total number of adults in the offer. 

Not exceeding that number which we are applied in rules.

E.g.: In the Honeymoon offer we applied the total number of Adults Equal to 2.

Rule 9: Number of Children #

This rules the same as the Number of Adults. Only we can fix the number of Children.

E.g.: Complimentary accommodation up to 2 children age 2-11 yrs when sharing with at least 2 paying adults.   

Both rules will be applied Number of Adults & Children.


Rule 10: Room Category #

Some offers are applicable on base occupancy & some particular room categories. So, we applied room Category equal to or Not Equal to.

E.g.: 10% discount on accommodation & booked Meal basis. Applicable to all room types.

OR

25% discount on accommodation rate (applicable to Sgl / Dbl / Triple & extra child) but not equal to Junior Suite room and Deluxe Room.

Note: Always remember when you put condition room category is EQUAL TO always matches with OR & when room category is not equal to ‘NOT EQUAL TO’ put matches with AND
